It’s the Most Wonderful Time of the Year: Fall Round-Up

Fall is my favourite season. Not only are the colours absolutely stunning (my favourite of all colours), but it’s also the perfect weather for jeans, boots, cozy sweaters, and scarves. Autumn also has the most delicious flavours. Pumpkin…apple…cinnamon and cloves…YUM!

Unfortunately, my school schedule has been incredibly hectic. I haven’t been able to spend much quality time with my Kitchen Aid mixer, but that doesn’t mean it hasn’t been in my thoughts! I dream of the glorious moment when I am reunited with it. That day will come…maybe not until Christmas break, but it will come!

These photos are a few tidbits from the past month or so. They capture my first true attempt at apple pie, Atlantic Canada themed cupcakes, fallen leaf sugar cookies, chocolate peanut-butter bling-bling cupcakes, and baseball birthday cupcakes (still holding on to those last bits of summer). Even when I can’t be in the kitchen as much as I’d like to, I am still thankful for the random times I do get to experiment.

My goal is to make at least something pumpkin-y before the season is over. Any recipe suggestions?

Happy Autumn–enjoy your baking and the last few warm days we have!
